Raja Ampat is a regency and is part of West Papua province. To reach this archipelago, we must set foot in the city of Sorong first. Most tourists usually use the flight to get to this city. After arriving in Sorong city, we can use a kind of fast boat that used to sail twice a day to Waisai, the capital of Raja Ampat Regency. The trip will take about 2-3 hours from Sorong port to the port of Waisai Raja Ampat.

In general, Raja Ampat is an archipelago consisting of numerous coral islands and is widespread throughout its territory. Nevertheless, Raja Ampat has 4 major islands, namely Waigeo Island, Batanta Island, Salawati Island, and Misool Island. These four islands are the starting point for spreading all of Raja Ampat people who are mostly fishermen. The territorial waters are the main attraction of Raja Ampat, given that the waters of Raja Ampat are one of the 10 best waters around the world. It is based on a variety of research on the richness of flora and fauna of the marine nature owned by Raja Ampat.

A report of the International Conservation Agency once mentioned that the waters of Raja Ampat have about 75% of marine species all over the world. In fact, the sea and land area of Raja Ampat which has an area of 4.6 million hectares is home to 540 species of corals, 1,511 fishes and thousands of other marine biota. Therefore, with these advantages is no wonder when Raja Ampat is currently regarded as the most beautiful underwater paradise around the world.

Not only the richness of its underwater nature, Raja Ampat also has many interesting things on the surface of the sea. Many beautiful beaches are scattered throughout the archipelago of Raja Ampat. Generally, the beach is white sandy and has a smooth approach to flour. In addition, the islands that make up the high row of cliffs are widely found in Raja Ampat. In fact, some places such as Piaynemo, Kabui Bay, and Wayag have been known to all over the world first before being recognised domestically. Tropical forests are no less attractive, there are even some places such as Sawinggrai village or Saporkrein village that provides an unforgettable experience to see Birds of paradise up close. As we know, the bird of Paradise is a rare and beautiful bird typical of Papua which is often referred to as the bird of heaven.
